Why we started this.

We started Preserve Property because we love working on homes and making them look good — and because we believed the local area needed an exterior cleaning company that shows up on time, does the job right, and quotes a fair price. That's it. No upsells, no surprise add-ons.

Is soft washing safe for my roof and siding?
Yes. Soft washing uses low pressure and a manufacturer-approved cleaning solution that kills algae, mildew, and lichen at the root — without blasting shingles, etching cedar, or stripping paint like high-pressure washing can.
Do I need to be home when you wash?
Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the property and an outdoor water source, you don't need to be there. We'll coordinate with you on details like gates, pets, and any areas you want us to avoid.
How long does the cleaning take?
Most house washes take 2–4 hours depending on size. Roof washing typically runs 2–3 hours. Driveways and decks vary by square footage. We'll give you an estimated time when we quote the job.
How often should I have my house washed?
For New England homes, every 1–2 years is the sweet spot. Houses in shaded, tree-heavy lots may need it annually. Roofs with visible black streaks should be soft washed every 2–3 years to protect shingle life.
Do you supply your own water and power?
We bring all our own equipment and cleaning solutions. We do use your outdoor spigot for water — it's typically less than what you'd use watering a lawn. No power needed from your home.
What if it rains the day you're scheduled?
Light rain isn't a problem and can actually help with the rinse. If there's heavy rain or wind, we'll reschedule at no charge to make sure the job is done right.
Are you insured?
Yes — fully licensed and insured in Massachusetts with $2M in general liability coverage. We're happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) on request for commercial or HOA jobs.
